I was thinking that capturing my knight was going to happen, and I wanted connected pawns instead of doubled up pawns. The board is nearly symmetrical, which is odd} 12.Nxe4 fxe4 13.Bc2 Qh4 14.Qg4 Qe7 {I offered a queen trade. I wanted to move my knight out and put it back later when it was safe} 15.b4 Bxe5 16.fxe5 Bd7 17.Bd2 a6 18.Be1 Rxf1+ {My bishop was kind of stuck, and I wanted it on the other side} 19.Kxf1 Rf8+ 20.Kg1 Na7 21.Bh4 Qf7 {The idea was to put pressure on that pinned pawn with the bishop} 22.a4 Nc6 23.b5 Nb4 24.Bb3 axb5 25.a5 Nd3 {They put their knight in a good spot, it's all downhill from here} 26.Qe2 Qg6 27.Rb1 Rc8 {pressure on doubled pawns, hopefully to create a passed pawn.} 28.Qd2 Qg4 29.Be7 h5 30.Qd1 Qg6 31.Qf1 b4 32.Bd1 Rc4 33.Qf8+ Kh7 {opportunity to grab a pawn, and move knight out of it's spot, although it does pin my bishop. I don't know which is worse} 34.Bxb4 Nxb4 35.Rxb4 Rc1 36.Qf1 Qg5 37.Qe1 h4 38.h3 Bc6 {I didn't really know how to play this pawn position... If i waited until their pawn moved against mine, I could move my g pawn up, but then my king is trapped on the wall, and there is an open file next to him.} 39.Qd2 Ra1 40.Kh2 Qg3+{I moved my king to draw their queen there, hoping to move my bishop to g4 and sort of immobilize his queen once they try to capture the pawn on a file with rook after taking the back rank back with my rook.} 41.Kg1 g5 42.Kf1 g4 0-1 {I resigned, I don't think I had any pieces I could move, and they are closing in on king} [/pgn]
